ARISEArchaeological Routes for Inclusive Synergy & Entrepreneurship in Sierra y Mancha Conquense
A live destination platform connecting cultural heritage, local businesses and rural development through intelligent geospatial services.Open the live ARISE platform↗PROJECT OVERVIEW
ARISE delivered a live digital service for Sierra y Mancha Conquense, connecting Roman heritage, rural businesses, visitor planning and stakeholder coordination. The public platform brings together heritage discovery, multi-stop itineraries, local-business visibility, territorial information and location-aware guidance.
The service is complemented by an authenticated operational environment for maintaining content, coordinating stakeholders, monitoring activities and supporting the long-term use of the platform.
FROM NEED TO RESULT
Operational challenge
The territory contains major Roman archaeological assets, including Segóbriga, Valeria and Ercávica, but visitor information, local services and territorial coordination were fragmented. This restricted longer visitor journeys, broader local-business exposure and coordinated rural-development action.
Engineering approach
Xilbi and Obsidian developed a multilingual public gateway, operational administration and MAAT collaboration workspace. The solution combines Laravel services, Leaflet and OpenStreetMap interfaces, structured territorial data, public and authenticated APIs, OpenAPI documentation and spatially contextualised guidance through PoliRural Jackdaw.
Results and legacy
ARISE leaves a functioning heritage and rural-service gateway, an operational stakeholder workspace, documented technical foundations and a transferable replication model. Other rural areas can adapt the platform primarily by replacing territorial data, routes, businesses, languages, branding and stakeholder structures rather than rebuilding the complete service.
